circa 1st century AD

A kneeling barbarian with hands tied behind his back, wearing a short tunic, long trousers, and a cloak fastened in front of his chest. The figure served as an accessory for an armored statue of a Roman emperor, the base of the lower leg of which is still preserved on the back.
